RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A FIRST AMENDMENT TO A JOINT POWERS CONTRACT FOR PROFESSIONAL AND TECHNICAL SERVICES WITH THE MINNESOTA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION SUPPORTING THE COMMUNITY LIAISON PROGRAM INCREASING THE CONTRACT AMOUNT BY $185,603 FOR A TOTAL NOT TO EXCEED $405,283, EXTENDING THE TERM OF THE AGREEMENT AND AMENDING THE WORK PLAN AND BUDGET.

CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVE, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to enter into a first amendment to a joint powers contract for professional and technical services (city contract no. 24077) with the Minnesota department of transportation, substantially in the form of that attached hereto as Exhibit A, increasing the contract amount by $185,603 for a total amount not to exceed $405,283, extending the term of the agreement and amending the work plan and budget.
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution will authorize a first amendment to a joint powers contract for professional and technical services with the Minnesota department of transportation increasing the contract amount by $185,603 for a total contract amount not to exceed $405,283. The work plan and budget are modified to allow increased hours, update measures of performance, provide additional funds to support marketing, food, and guest speaker stipends, and to facilitate invoicing. The term of the agreement is also extended until March 22, 2026.
