Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes DEDA to submit a Contamination Cleanup Grant application on behalf of the Duluth Heritage Sports Center to the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (“DEED”). DEED’s Contamination Cleanup Grant Program helps with the costs of assessing and cleaning up contaminated sites. Duluth Heritage Sport Center has purchased parcels of the old Clyde Iron site for a potential future expansion of the facility. Contamination cleanup grants require a minimum 25% local match upon award.
