CITY PROPOSAL:

RESOLVED, that the proper City officials are authorized to enter into a contract with JMF Construction, Inc. for the 5^th Avenue West Down Drain Project, City project No. 2257 in the amount of $282,527.06, payable from 535-500-1905-5533 (Capital Stormwater Fund).

Statement of Purpose

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes the award of a contract for the construction of the 5^th Avenue West Down Drain project to JMF Construction, Inc., in the amount of $282,527.06. They were the lowest of eight responsible bidders (attached Exhibit A). The project will construct storm sewer down an undeveloped portion of 5^th Avenue West between Skyline Parkway and West 6^th Street. Currently storm water drains in a steep open channel which is causing erosion. The project will construct a storm sewer connecting catch basins on Skyline Parkway and existing storm sewer in the intersection of 5^th Avenue West and West 6^th Street.
