CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that contract L30475 with Short Elliott Hendrickson, Inc. for professional engineering services for the Cross City Trail Phase 3 Project be amended to include additional design services per the attached Amendment No. 2, including additional surveying, final design and bidding, and to increase the amount by an estimated $69,590.00, for a new total of $185,790.00 payable from (Capital Project) Fund 450, Department 030 (Finance), Object 5530 (Improvements Other Than Buildings), City Project No. 1510. The source of the $69,590.00 will be a transfer from the Permanent Improvement Fund (Fund 411).
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution amends contract L30475 with Short Elliott Hendrickson, Inc. by $69,590.00, the increase justification is shown by the attached Exhibit A. This amendment is necessary to finish the final design and bidding phases to the agreement. This will be an hourly, not to exceed increase. The increase is due to adding additional route alternatives and cost estimates, a cultural resource review, floodplain analysis with impact analysis and a special use permit, BNSF rail crossing design, additional easement exhibits, additional survey, STIP updates and Project Memorandum updates.
