CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to enter into an agreement with Barr Engineering Co., substantially in the form attached hereto as Exhibit A, to provide environmental support services during the Waseca Industrial Road extension project in an amount not to exceed $85,000, payable from Permanent Improvement Fund 411, Department 035 (Capital Projects Accounts), Object 5530 (Improvements Other than Buildings), city project no. 1108.
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution will authorize an agreement with Barr Engineering, Co. to provide environmental support services during the Waseca Industrial Road extension project.
This project as a whole will involve the construction of Waseca Industrial Road from 59th Avenue West to Raleigh Street. During preliminary design and completion of the Phase I Environmental Site Assessment it has been determined that a Phase II Investigation Work Plan should be performed based upon parcels and adjacent areas along the corridor that have potential for soil, groundwater and/or vapor contamination.
Due to its unique experience and familiarity with the project, Barr Engineering Co. was the sole firm from which a proposal for these work services was solicited.
