CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper City officials are authorized to execute an agreement with Short Elliott Hendrickson Inc. for Engineering services for the Railroad Street Reconditioning Project for an amount not to exceed $163,225.00 payable from Fund 411-035-5530, PI2024-1463 (permanent improvement, capital project accounts, improvements other than buildings, 2024 permanent improvement projects-Railroad Street reconditioning).
Statement of Purpose
This resolution authorizes an agreement for engineering services for the Railroad Street Reconditioning Project to Short Elliott Hendrickson Inc. for an amount not to exceed $163,225.00 payable from the PI fund. City Street, Streetlighting, and Municipal State Aid funds will be used for the design services. City project number 1463, SAP No. 118-118-005.
Work will include a reclamation and paving of the existing street from Canal Park Drive to 5th Avenue West, in addition to the replacement/improvement of the two traffic signals, replacement/improvement of street lighting, ADA crossing improvements at the intersections, miscellaneous concrete pavement repairs, replacement of signage and striping, and surface adjustments of existing utilities within the corridor.
The City Purchasing Division issued a request for proposals for the project, and received six proposals as listed below. After evaluation and scoring, Short Elliott Hendrickson Inc. (SEH) was the best value proposal for this work.
