CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are authorized to purchase PLCs from Van Meter, Inc. for the amount of $64,995.18, payable from the following funds.
$46,714.60 530-500-1945-5201 (sewer, Public Works and Utilities, utility operations, computer supplies/software)
$18,280.58 520-500-1960-5201 (gas, Public Works and Utilities, natural gas, computer supplies/software)
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes the purchase of PLCs from Van Meter, Inc. for the amount of $64,995.18.
This resolution will authorize the City to purchase 18 PLCs to be installed at various sites to improve SCADA communications. These sites include 10 lift stations, 3 gas sites and 5 commercial gas sites. Van Meter is the regional provider of the brand of PLC required to remain standardized throughout the City.
