CITY PROPOSAL:

RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are authorized to enter into a cooperative agreement with St. Louis County to perform road maintenance striping for an amount estimated to be $87,462, payable from 290-500-5535 (street system maintenance utility fund, Public Works and Utilities, non-capital improvements).

 

Statement of Purpose

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes a cooperative agreement between the City of Duluth and St. Louis County for the 2025 Townships and Cities Maintenance Striping Program. St. Louis County will be responsible for project solicitation, contract administration, and vendor payments. The City of Duluth Street Maintenance Division will direct and oversee all work to be performed. The City is adding this work to the St. Louis County bid package to achieve a cost savings of scale. This agreement will also increase the capacity of street maintenance to perform other necessary maintenance projects for the City.
