CITY PROPOSAL:

RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to purchase a drone as first responder program as well as Draft One dictation and report writing technology, substantially the same as the attached Document A, from AXON Enterprises, purchase to include all applicable equipment, software, storage, maintenance and support for a six-year period for an amount not to exceed $1,919,995.09, payable from 110-160-1610-5414 (general fund, police, administration and investigation, software licenses and maintenance) and 210-030-3210-5580 (special projects, finance, police department fund, capital equipment), and 250-015-2025-5580-CE250-E2507 (capital equipment, public administration, fiscal year 2025, capital equipment, police equipment).

 

Statement of Purpose

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes the purchase of a drone as first responder program as well as Draft One dictation and report writing technology from AXON Enterprises, including equipment, software, storage, maintenance and support for a six-year period for an amount not to exceed $1,919,995.09.

 

Drone as First Responder and Draft One programs increase community safety, officer protection, and efficiency while building public trust through transparency. Early data demonstrates significant impact with scalable potential.

 

This purchase is under Minnesota State Contract 247327, Release P-994(5).
