CITY PROPOSAL:
WHEREAS, the chief administrative officer upon the direction of the mayor has recommended the appointment of Ben Van Tassel to the position of director, planning & economic development; and
WHEREAS, the City Charter requires the city council confirm this appointment.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the city council hereby confirms the appointment of Ben Van Tassel to the position of director, planning & economic development for the city of Duluth.

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution confirms the appointment of Ben Van Tassel as director, planning & economic development as required by the City Charter.
