RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PROPER CITY OFFICIALS TO ENTER INTO AN AMENDMENT TO AN AGREEMENT WITH ST. LOUIS COUNTY ACCEPTING $47,380.80 IN ADDITIONAL FUNDS TO PROVIDE MINNESOTA FAMILY INVESTMENT PROGRAM AND DIVERSIONARY WORK PROGRAM EMPLOYMENT AND TRAINING SERVICES.

CITY PROPOSAL:

RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to execute an amendment to an agreement with St. Louis County, city contract no. 24679, substantially in the form of Exhibit A, and accept $47,380.80 in additional funding to provide Minnesota Family Investment Program and Diversionary Work Program employment and training services in an amount not less than $891,123.60 for the period January 1, 2024 through December 31, 2024. Monies received under this agreement will be deposited in and paid from Fund 268 (workforce development), Agency 031 (grants division), Organizations 6235 (MFIP) and 6236 (DWP).

 

 

Statement of Purpose

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE:  This resolution is to authorize proper city officials to enter into a contract amendment and accept $47,380.80 in additional funds from St. Louis County in order to provide employment and training services to participants in the Minnesota Family Investment Program (MFIP) and Diversionary Work Program (DWP) in a new amount not less than $891,123.60 as shown in Exhibit A for the period of January 1, 2024 through December 31, 2024.  Approximately six hundred (600) participants are expected to be served during the course of the grant.  This request is budgeted through Workforce Development grant funds, and is operational in nature.
