CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are authorized to contract with Innovative Masonry Restoration LLC for stage repairs at Leif Erikson Park for an amount not to exceed $298,000.00, payable from 205-130-1220-CM205-5520-CM205-LFERIK-PIP (Parks Fund, Community Resources, Parks Capital, Building & Structures, Capital Maintenance Fund 205, Leif Erikson Park, Park Implementation Plan).
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes a contract with Innovative Masonry Restoration LLC for repair of the outdoor stage at Leif Erikson Park for an amount not to exceed $298,000.00.
Leif Erikson Park’s historic stage structure is in need of significant restoration to address deterioration and ensure long-term structural integrity. The limited scope of work under this contract includes:
- Tuckpointing and replacement of missing stones throughout the structure
- Rehabilitation of the stage area
- Complete structural repairs to stabilize and preserve the facility
This scope of work will stabilize the structure and maintain it in usable condition. Additional work would be necessary to more fully restore the structure.
Purchasing issued an Invitation to Bid on July 24, 2025, and received three bids (see attached summary). Innovative Masonry Restoration, LLC submitted the lowest responsive bid.
