Title

RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT WITH EVER-GREEN ENERGY, INC. FOR PROFESSIONAL AND TECHNICAL SERVICES TO DEVELOP AND IMPLEMENT A CUSTOMER PORTAL TO BENCHMARK REAL-TIME ENERGY USAGE FOR AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $96,500.

Body

CITY PROPOSAL:

RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to enter into an agreement in the form substantially attached as Exhibit A with Ever-Green Energy, Inc., for professional and technical services to develop and implement a customer portal to track, trend and benchmark real-time energy usage for an amount not to exceed $96,500, payable from 540-920-1493-5310 (steam, steam department, steam transmission and distribution, contract services).

Statement of Purpose

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes an agreement for professional and technical services from Ever-Green Energy, Inc. to develop and implement a Duluth Energy Systems customer portal to track, trend, and benchmark real-time energy usage.

By adoption of resolution 24-0903R, the council authorized the city to enter into a grant agreement with the State of Minnesota and authorized receipt of $428,366 in funding for Comfort Systems and Ever-Green Energy to execute this project to meet new energy benchmarking standards.  Because Ever-Green Energy is specifically named in the grant and uniquely able to perform these specific services required by the grant, there was no competitive process to procure these services.
