RESOLUTION APPROVING PROPOSED AMENDMENTS TO THE SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE EXISTING CIVIL SERVICE CLASSIFICATION OF FIREFIGHTER.

CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proposed amendments to the specifications for the existing civil service classification of firefighter (attached as Exhibit A), which were approved by the civil service board on September 1, 2021, are approved. This classification shall remain subject to the city's collective bargaining agreement with its fire unit employees; and that pay range for said classification shall remain Range 226, pay rate of $3,972 to $5,285 per month.
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: The existing classification of firefighter was revised to clarify MN state firefighter license requirement and to add language to under the CPAT requirement in case the testing facility is closed because of COVID-19. There is no change in the pay range, which is Range 226, pay rate of $3,972 to $5,285 per month.
