CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are authorized to purchase materials for storm, ditching and repairs from Red Rock Precast, LLC., in the estimated amount of $65,000.00, payable from fund 535-500-1945-5227; (stormwater, Public Works and Utilities, utility operations, utility system mtc. supplies).
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes the purchase of materials for storm, ditching and repairs from Red Rock Precast LLC., in the estimated amount of $65,000.00.
This resolution will authorize the City to purchase materials for Utility Operations crews to complete maintenance work and projects. Red Rock Precast, LLC., is the local company that has these specialized materials in stock for use throughout the City. Red Rock is the only local source for these pre-cast items; there are multiple concrete contractors in the area, but they do not do pre-cast. Sourcing locally prevents us from having to maintain an extensive inventory, and shipping from outside the area would be cost prohibitive and create lengthy repair delays.
