CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to enter into a contract with Hanco Utilities for the Lead Service Line Replacement - East Hillside 1 project for a total amount not to exceed $8,972,447.50, payable from fund 510-500-1905-5533; UtilB-2325 (water; Public Works and Utilities; capital (incl deprec/debt svc); capital improvements - revenue; utility projects budgeted; LSLR East Hillside 1). City project number 2325.
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution will authorize construction of the Lead Service Line Replacement - East Hillside 1 by Hanco Utilities for a total amount not to exceed $8,972,447.50. The project will replace 474 public and/or private lead water services, install 15 water main extensions, and provide surface restoration in the East Hillside Neighborhood. Hanco Utilities was the lowest responsible bidder of the four companies that responded. The engineer’s estimate was $12,436,570.00. All project costs will be reimbursed by the Minnesota Public Facilities Authority. If the City does not receive funding from the MPFA, the project will be put on hold.
