CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to enter into a contract with JMF Construction Inc. for the High Priority Lead Service Line Replacement Phase 2 Blanket project for a total amount not to exceed $1,640,372.00, payable from fund 510-500-1905-5533; UtilB-2320 (water; Public Works and Utilities; capital (incl deprec/debt svc); capital improvements - revenue; utility projects budgeted; High Priority LSLR Phase 2). City project number 2320.
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution will authorize construction of the High Priority Lead Service Line Replacement Phase 2 project by JMF Construction Inc. for a total amount not to exceed $1,640,372.00. The project will replace approximately 80 public and/or private lead water service lines. JMF Construction Inc. was the lowest responsible bidder of the five companies that responded. The engineer’s estimate was $2,287,700.00. All project costs will be reimbursed by the Minnesota Public Facilities Authority. If the City does not receive funding from the MPFA, the project will be put on hold.
