CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are authorized to purchase eight 2026 Ford Hybrid Police Interceptors from Tenvoorde Ford for the total amount of $375,156.52, payable from fund 250-015-2026-5580; CE250-V2602 (capital equipment; Public Administration; fiscal year 2026; capital equipment; fund 250; police department vehicles and equipment).
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes the purchase of eight 2026 Ford Hybrid Police Interceptors from Tenvoorde Ford, Inc. in the amount of $375,156.62.
The 2026 Ford Hybrid Police Interceptors will be purchased per Minnesota State Contract No. 244262, Release A-174(5). This purchase will allow for the replacement of eight marked police vehicles that are between seven and ten years old. The existing squads will be cascaded through the police department and other general fund departments before being sold at public auction without vehicle additions to general fund fleet. This purchase is part of the 2026 Capital Equipment Plan and is in budget.
