CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are authorized to increase contract no. L31206 with Stack Bros. Mechanical Contractors, Inc. for the DECC Hot Water Pipe Replacement for $35,336.00 for a new total of $355,001.00, payable from fund 540-920-1499-5530 (steam, Steam Department, steam non-operating, improvements other than buildings).
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes an increase to contract no. L31206 with Stack Bros. Mechanical Contractors, Inc. for the DECC Hot Water Pipe Replacement for $35,336.00 for a new total of $355,001.00.
Stack Bros. Mechanical Contractors, Inc., responded to a solicitation issued by the Purchasing Division for the above project and were the low bidder. The project consists of the removal and installation of pre-insulated steel hot water piping, fittings valves and appurtenances at and around the DECC. The project incurred increased construction costs including additional mobilization, demobilization, as well as additional labor costs.
