CITY PROPOSAL:
BE IT RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to execute a pole attachment license agreement with Minnesota Power, a division of ALLETE, Inc., substantially in the form of attached Document A, to allow the city to install, operate, maintain and remove certain city equipment on specified utility poles within the city of Duluth for a rate of $18.50 per pole, which is subject to increase once per calendar year, payable from fund number 510-500-1955-5441.
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes a pole attachment license agreement with Minnesota Power, a division of ALLETE, Inc., to allow the city to install, operate, maintain and remove certain city owned equipment on specified utility poles within city limits. The current rate per pole is $18.50, which may be increased once per calendar year, but no more than ten percent per year cumulatively.
This agreement will remain in force until terminated by either party.
