CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to enter into a contract with George Bougalis and Sons Co. for construction of the 18th Avenue East gas main to UMD and miscellaneous gas mains and services at various locations in the amount of $1,237,505.55, payable out of Gas Fund 520, Department 500 (Public Works & Utilities), Division 1905 (Capital Improvements), Object 5533 (Revenue), city project no. 1410.
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution will authorize the construction of approximately 3,650 feet of 8” gas main from the intersection of Fourth Street and 18th Avenue East to the intersection of College Street and Snelling Avenue, and miscellaneous gas mains and services at various locations throughout the city by George Bougalis and Sons Co. in the amount of $1,237,505.55. The project is funded by Gas Fund 520, Department 500 (Public Works & Utilities), Division 1905 (Capital Improvements), Object 5533 (Revenue), city project no. 1410, requisition no. 16-0373. George Bougalis & Sons Co. was the lowest responsible bidder of the two companies that responded, for both portions of the project. The engineer’s estimate was $1,600,000.
