CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to enter into a contract with Northland Constructors of Duluth, Inc. for the Second Street Reconstruction project in the amount of $7,888,777, payable from Permanent Improvement Fund 411, Department 035 (Capital Projects Accounts), Object 5530 (Improvements Other than Buildings), city project no. 1851. The funding sources for this project will be:
Steam Fund 540 $2,179,261.47
Stormwater Fund 535 $ 567,218.87
Water Fund 510 $1,310,048.45
Sanitary Sewer Fund 530 $ 108,636.15
Gas Fund 510 $ 26,910.00
Street Improvement Sales Tax Fund 291 $3,696,702.06
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution will authorize award of a contract to Northland Constructors of Duluth, Inc. in the amount of $7,888,777 for the reconstruction of Second Street from North Sixth Avenue East to North Twelfth Avenue East. Northland Constructors was the only company to respond. The engineer’s estimate was $7,755,000. Payable from Permanent Improvement Fund 411, Department 035 (Capital Projects Accounts), Object 5530 (Improvements Other than Buildings), city project no. 1851, requisition no. 20-99322.
