CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are authorized to purchase three snow plows from Boyer Trucks - Superior for the amount of $374,553.99, pricing per Minnesota state contract 242594, Release T-647(5), payable from fund 250-015-2024-5580; CE250-V2405 (capital equipment; Public Administration; fiscal year - 2024; capital equipment; capital equipment fund 250; street maintenance vehicles and equipment).
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes the purchase of three plow trucks from Boyer Trucks - Superior for the amount of $374,553.99. This is a budgeted expense.
The 2014-2015 Fleet Study found that, in order to minimize total City vehicle costs for purchase and maintenance, vehicles of this kind should be replaced before they reach 12 years old. Unit 3369 was purchased in 2009 and Units 3435 and 3436 were purchased in 2011, all three will have reached the end of their lifecycle by the time the new units are delivered and ready for service.
