CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to enter into a contract with JMF Construction, Inc. for the 2022 Citywide Patch and Sidewalk project in the amount of $222,588.90, payable from Permanent Improvement Fund 411, Department 035 (Capital Projects Accounts), Object 5530 (Improvements Other than Buildings), of which $15,091 will be assessed to benefitting properties, city project no. 2005.
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution will authorize the 2022 Citywide Patch and Sidewalk project by JMF Construction, Inc. in the amount of $222,588.90, payable from Permanent Improvement Fund 411, Department 035 (Capital Projects Accounts), Object 5530 (Improvements Other than Buildings), of which $15,091 will be assessed to benefitting properties, city project no. 2005, requisition no. 22-99127. The project consists of street, driveway and sidewalk repairs necessitated by water main breaks. In addition, the project includes bid items used when residents request repair of their sidewalks. Work also includes concrete and bituminous paving, sidewalk replacement and sidewalk improvements for individual owners within city rights-of-way, adjustment of existing electrical hand holes, and curb ramp work. JMF Construction, Inc. was the lowest responsible bidder of the four companies that responded. The engineer’s estimate was $282,237.
