CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to execute first amendments to the grant contracts for the Auto Theft Prevention Program between the state of Minnesota Department of Commerce and the city (city contract nos. 24599 and 24600), replacing as party the Department of Commerce with the Minnesota Department of Public Safety; said first amendments to be substantially in the form of the attached Document A (amending city contract no. 24599) and Document B (amending city contract no. 24600).
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes amendments to the grant contract agreements for the Auto Theft Prevention Program originally between the Minnesota Department of Commerce and the city. Executive Order 25-01 established the Financial Crimes and Fraud Section of the Department of Public Safety under the direction of the Superintendent of the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension. Consequently, the Auto Theft Prevention Program will now be administered by the Department of Public Safety. These first amendments replace as party the Department of Commerce with the Department of Public Safety and do not change the nature of the agreement.
