CITY PROPOSAL:
BE IT RESOLVED, that the city council hereby designates the Duluth News Tribune as the official newspaper for the city of Duluth for the year 2026.
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution designates the Duluth News Tribune as the official newspaper for the city of Duluth. Section 33 of the Duluth City Charter requires that council shall annually provide for the publication of all matters required to be published and to that end must annually designate the official newspaper in which publications are to be made. Notwithstanding this designation, the City may choose to publish notices or other items on the City’s website so long as it is permitted by Minnesota statutes or is not expressly forbidden by Minnesota statutes.
