CITY PROPOSAL:

                     RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to enter into an amendment to the parking management agreement between the city of Duluth, the Duluth economic development authority and Interstate Parking Company of Minnesota LLC, substantially the same as the attached Document A, that adds to the scope of Interstate’s responsibility the purchase and maintenance of a gateless access and revenue control technology system at certain city and DEDA owned facilities, with a monthly service cost to the city of $3,375.00 payable from fund numbers 505-015-1480-2510-5310, 505-015-1480-2511-5310 and 505-015-1480-2512-5310 (Parking Fund, Administrative Services Department, Parking Ramps Organization).

Statement of Purpose

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes the execution of an amendment to the parking management agreement with Interstate Parking Company of Minnesota LLC (Interstate) for the purchase and maintenance by Interstate of gateless access and revenue control technology.  Interstate will purchase and own the technology and then charge the city a fee for the use of the technology.  The city manager will determine at which parking facilities the technology will be used.
