RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PROPER CITY OFFICIALS TO ACCEPT A GRANT FROM THE STATE OF MINNESOTA IN THE AMOUNT OF $7,467.50 AND FURTHER AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF A GRANT AGREEMENT WITH THE STATE OF MINNESOTA.

CITY PROPOSAL: RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are authorized to accept a grant agreement with the State of Minnesota, Commissioner of Public Safety, Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Management Grant Agreement No. A-EMPG-2015-DULUTHCI-106, in the amount of $7,467.50, said funds to be deposited in Fund No. 210-030-3140-4210-02 (special projects fund, finance department, emergency management GIS mapping grant, pass-thru federal grants), for the purpose of purchasing GIS compatible iPads and accessory items and committing $7,467.50 as the city’s local share cost of said grant to be paid from the city’s Fund 110-150-1501-5440 (general fund, fire department, administration, emergency management).
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: The purpose of this resolution is to authorize accepting a grant in an amount of $7,467.50 from the state department of public safety, division of homeland security and emergency management to off-set the cost of purchasing GIS compatible iPads and accessory items.
