RESOLUTION APPOINTING TERESE TOMANEK TO FILL THE VACANCY OF THE AT LARGE CITY COUNCIL SEAT.

BY PRESIDENT ANDERSON AND COUNCILOR KENNEDY:
WHEREAS, Councilor at large Barb Russ resigned her city council seat on April 22, 2020, and
WHEREAS, the Duluth City Charter requires the city council to fill a vacancy in a city council seat by appointment of an eligible person to serve until the next municipal election.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the city council hereby appoints Terese Tomanek to fill the vacant at large city council seat effective June 9, 2020 following execution of the oath of office.
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution appoints Terese Tomanek to fill the vacancy of the at large city council seat following the resignation of Barb Russ.
