In 2015, it was recommended that the City Charter decides the City Council fee for service. At that time, the recommendation was a monthly fee of $1,150. The total cost comes to $13,800.

Inflation from 2015 to present brings the recommended annual fee to $18,600 for councilors. That is a breakdown of a monthly fee of $1,550 per councilor.

This increase would take place in 2026.
