CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to execute an amendment to Contract 22447 with Christine Penney, substantially in the form of that attached as Exhibit A, for additional grant research and writing services for an amended contract total not to exceed $109,400, payable from Parks Fund 205, Community Resources 130, Other Professional Services 1219-5319.
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes a first amendment to Contract 22447 with Christine Penney, to increase the total contract amount by $73,200, for an amended contract total of 109,400.
Contract 22447 was authorized effective April 1, 2015, with an initial term through March 1, 2016, to identify, solicit, and secure grant funds for City of Duluth park and trail improvements. In association with the initial term, the City of Duluth was awarded 5 grants totaling $1,288,000. This amendment extends the term of the contract through December 31, 2016 and adds additional funding to cover research and writing for eighteen grant requests expected to total well over $5 million.
