CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to enter into an Agreement with Prairie Restorations, Inc., substantially in the form of that attached as Exhibit A, for removal of invasive buckthorn and the provision of a buckthorn management plan, for an amount not to exceed $65,000, payable from Parks Fund 205; Community Resources 130; Improvements Other than Buildings 5530; Project: CM205-HARTLY, Hartley Park Legacy Grant Fund.
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes an Agreement with Prairie Restorations, Inc., for the removal of buckthorn from approximately 105 acres in Hartley Park for an amount not to exceed $65,000. In addition, the contractor will provide a plan for managing and controlling buckthorn in the Park. These items address a portion of the Phase One improvements proposed in the Hartley Park Master Plan.
Purchasing issued a Request for Proposals for Buckthorn Removal on November 4, 2015 and received two proposals. The proposals were evaluated by staff from the Parks Department with input from staff at Hartley Nature Center.
