CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to enter into a license agreement with the BNSF Railway Company, a copy of which is attached hereto as Exhibit A, authorizing the City to construct and maintain an 8 inch HDPE water main in a 16 inch steel casing under the BNSF tracks at 59th Avenue West in the amount of $2750, payable from fund 510-500-1930-2330-5441 (Water, Public Works and Utilities, Engineering, Utility Engineering).
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: The purpose of this resolution is to authorize a license agreement with the BNSF Railway Company to allow the City to install a new 8 inch HDPE water main within a new 16 inch steel casing under the tracks at 59th Avenue West. This line will replace an existing line in 59th which is deteriorated and has had numerous leaks, causing a lot of maintenance problems to the Department and neighboring businesses. Construction of the new line will be in conjunction with an overall street improvement project planned for later this year.
