CITY PROPOSAL:

RESOLVED, that proper city officials are hereby authorized to execute an agreement, substantially in the form of that attached, Amendment No. 1 to Contract No. C22459 with MSA Professional Services, Inc., to provide engineering and design services for replacing the HVAC system in the water plant filtration building and other improvements including a dehumidification system for the filtration building, be amended for services to include the bidding and construction phase of the project.  The amount of the amendment is estimated to be $111,000, for a new total of $236,000, payable from Fund 510 (Water Fund), Department 500 (Public Works & Utilities), Division 1905 (Capital Improvements), Object 5533 (Revenue), City Project No. 1340.

 

Statement of Purpose

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE:  Resolution 15-0187R (passed on April 13, 2015) awarded a contract to MSA Professional Services Inc. relating to the design of the Phase 2 Lakewood Water Treatment Plant HVAC System.  The original contract included engineering and design services only.  However, it has been agreed that the contract will be expanded to include bidding and construction services as well.  This resolution will amend that contract to include the bidding and construction services phase of work.  The additional cost of $111,000 is payable from Fund 510 (Water Fund), Department 500 (Public Works & Utilities), Division 1905 (Capital Improvements), Object 5533 (Revenue), City Project No. 1340.
