RESOLUTION CONCURRING WITH COUNTY AWARD OF FOURTH STREET RECONSTRUCTION CONTRACT.

CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that pursuant to the requirements of paragraph 4 of the Fourth Street Reconstruction contract (city contract no. 22613), the city hereby concurs with the award of the Fourth Street Reconstruction contract to KGM Contractors, Inc. in the amount of $13,787,141.74.
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: The purpose of this resolution is to formally concur with the award of the construction contract for the Fourth Street Reconstruction project to KGM Contractors, Inc. in the amount of $13,787,141.74.
The Fourth Street reconstruction project is a combined project of the city and St. Louis County, pursuant to which the city will repair or replace utilities in the Fourth Street right of way and the county will demolish the street itself and, when the utility work is completed, will construct a new driving surface for the street. By these joint efforts the city and the county will have completely reconstructed the street and utilities.
