CITY PROPOSAL:
BE IT RESOLVED, that the city council of the city of Duluth hereby approves issuance of the following consumption and display license for the period ending March 31, 2017, and approves the permanent expansion of the designated serving area of the 3.2 percent malt liquor license for the period ending April 30, 2017, subject to departmental approvals, payment of sales and property taxes, and further subject to approval of the Liquor Control Commissioner:
Park Point Marina Inn & Suites, LLC, (Park Point Marina Inn), 1033 Minnesota Avenue, the permanent expansion of the designated serving area would include all floors and patio.
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: The Park Point Marina Inn & Suites currently have a 3.2 beer license. The permanent expansion license would expand their licensed premises to include all floors of the Inn and the patio and would allow consumption of alcohol in all areas of the Inn. The consumption and display license would allow patrons to bring their own alcohol beverages into the Inn and consume the alcohol in the new expanded areas of the Inn. The applications were reviewed at the July 6, 2016, Alcohol Beverage Board and were unanimously approved.
