CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorizing a State Contract purchase of two 2017 Freightliner M2 106SA cabs and chassis from I-State Truck Center, State Contract 77936, in the amount of $121,750, payable as follows:
$48,700 Water Fund 510, Public Works and Utilities 500, Capital (incl deprec/debt svc) 1905, Capital Equipment 5580
$73,050 Gas Fund 520, Public Works and Utilities 500, Capital (incl deprec/debt svc) 1905, Capital Equipment 5580
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes a State Contract purchase of two 2017 Freightliner M2 106SA cabs and chassis at a cost of $56,975 per unit, plus fees and licensing, for a total amount of $121,750.
This new equipment will replace unit #2883. This is a 2000 MY with over $140,000 in repair costs which is 108% of the original purchase price. Further, it is currently in lock out mode as there is an oil leak which will cost upward of $4,000 in repairs. This vehicle has out-lived its useful life with Operations.
This purchase is against Minnesota State Contract 77936, Release T-647(5).
