RESOLUTION APPROVING APPOINTMENT OF STEVE GERADS AS CITY REPRESENTATIVE TO THE BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT FOR THE DULUTH INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT JOINT AIRPORT ZONING BOARD

CITY PROPOSAL:
WHEREAS, pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Section 360.071, Subdivision 2, and Section XIII of the Duluth International Airport Zoning Ordinance enacted by the Duluth International Airport Joint Zoning Board on April 18, 1988, the city shall appoint one member to the Board of Adjustment of the Duluth International Airport Joint Zoning Board for a term of three (3) years; and
WHEREAS, the term of the previous city appointee to the Board of Adjustment has expired.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that Mayor Emily Larson hereby appoints Steve Gerads as city representative member for the Board of Adjustment of the Duluth International Airport Joint Airport Zoning Board for a term of three years from enactment of this resolution.
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution appoints Steve Gerads to the Board of Adjustment of the Duluth International Airport Joint Zoning Board. Pursuant to Minnesota Statutes 360.071 and the Duluth International Airport Zoning Ordinance, the Board of Adjustment (1) hears and decides appeals from any order, requirement, decision, or determination made by the Chief or Deputy Zoning Administrators in the enforcement of the Duluth International Airport Zoning Ordinance, and (2) hears specific variance applications. The City of Duluth is the “Chief Zoning Administrator” of the Duluth International Airport Zoning Ordinance.
