CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to accept a Minnesota cross country trail assistance program grant, a copy of which is attached as Exhibit A, with the Minnesota department of natural resources for the maintenance of the Duluth cross country trails for the 2016-2017 season in the amount of $11,000; said funds to be deposited in General Fund 110, Public Administration 121, Maintenance Operations/Park Maintenance 1217-2145, Ski Trail Reimbursement 4225.
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes acceptance of a Minnesota DNR grant for maintenance of the city’s cross country ski trails in the amount of $11,000.
The city annually applies for, receives, and uses the program’s funds to cover a portion of the City’s cost for cross country ski trail maintenance.
