CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to amend Resolution 15-0226R awarding a contract to Home Menders, Inc. for the Congdon Boulevard Slope Repairs project, increasing the amount by $1,131,418 for a new total of $2,420,000.23, payable out of Permanent Improvement Fund 411, Department/Agency 035 (Capital Projects Accounts), Object 5530 (Improvements Other than Buildings), and Disaster Recovery Fund 225, Department/Agency 125 (Finance), Division 1803 (Roads and Bridges), Object 5403 (Street Repair and Maintenance), city project no. 1324.
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution will authorize an increase in the contract with Home Menders, Inc. for the Congdon Boulevard Slope Repairs project by $1,131,418 for a new contract total of $2,420,000.23, payable out of Permanent Improvement Fund 411, Department/Agency 035 (Capital Projects Accounts), Object 5530 (Improvements Other than Buildings), and Disaster Recovery Fund 225, Department/Agency 125 (Finance), Division 1803 (Roads and Bridges), Object 5403 (Street Repair and Maintenance), city project no. 1324, requisition no. 15-0190. An additional 400 linear feet of retaining wall has been added to the contract with HMI due to unforeseen erosion along Congdon Boulevard. The increase will be paid by Municipal State Aid funds and includes an increase of $71,418 in December of 2015 that did not require council approval.
