CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to contract with Lipe Brothers Construction, Inc. for all materials and labor required for the construction of a foundation and building to house a new brine tank near the 40th West Tool House. The total contract amount shall not exceed One Hundred Fourteen Thousand dollars and no/100th ($114,000.00) payable as follows:
$59,386.00 Capital Improvements Fund 450; Finance 030; Buildings and Structures 5520; Project cp2014-1418b - 2014 Capital Projects, Brine Building
$54,614.00 Capital Improvements Fund 450; Finance 030; Buildings and Structures 5520; Project CP2015-1502b 2015 Capital Projects, City-Wide CIP eligible bldg. improvements.
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes a contract for the construction of a building to house the new brine tank near the 40th West Tool House. The brine tank cannot be housed within the existing building due to its corrosive nature. The tank also cannot be stored outside as the brine would freeze.
The project consists of the construction of a new foundation and a 17’ x 22’ wood building, which will allow for easy filling and distribution of the brine.
Purchasing issued an Invitation to Bid on August 29, 2016 and received three bids as listed below. Lipe Brothers Construction, Inc. submitted the lowest responsive bid.
