CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to contract with J.R. Jensen Construction Company for all materials and labor required for the construction of an addition to the existing vehicle storage building located at the Tree Farm on Riley Road. The total contract amount shall not exceed Two Hundred Fifty-Three Thousand One Hundred dollars ($253,100.00) payable from Capital Improvements Fund 450; Finance 030; Buildings and Structures 5520; Project CP2016-1604b - 2016 Capital Projects, Tree Farm - yard/old storage/salt shed.
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes a contract for the construction of an addition to the existing vehicle storage building located at the Tree Farm on Riley Road. The project will add three (3) garage bays to the current five (5) garage bay toolhouse; providing needed additional capacity for Street Maintenance equipment. The ability to locate additional equipment at the Riley Road location will provide increased efficiency for Street Maintenance operations and save fuel used on snow plowing routes.
Purchasing issued an Invitation to Bid on September 9, 2016 and received four bids as listed below. J.R. Jensen Construction Company submitted the lowest responsive bid.
