RESOLUTION APPROVING PROPOSED AMENDMENTS TO THE SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE EXISTING CIVIL SERVICE CLASSIFICATION OF LIBRARY TECHNICIAN.

CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proposed amendments to the specifications for the existing civil service classification of library technician (attached as Exhibit A), which were approved by the civil service board on October 4, 2016, are approved. This classification shall remain subject to the city’s collective bargaining agreement with its basic unit employees and compensated at Pay Range 124, $3,020 to $3,502 per month.
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: The existing classification of library technician was revised to more accurately reflect current duties and better align minimum qualifications with current library requirements. There is no change in the rate of pay, which remains Pay Range 124, $3,020 to $3,502 per month.
