CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to amend an agreement with Energy Insight, Inc. for professional services to increase the capacity of Public Works and Utilities', (PW&U), Commercial and Industrial energy conservation improvement program (C&I CIP). This amendment, substantially in the form attached as Exhibit A, will provide additional funding in an amount not to exceed Forty-Nine Thousand and no/100th Dollars ($49,000.00), and a new contract total not to exceed of Seventy Thousand and no/100th Dollars ($70,000.00) through the end of the contract term, Payable from the Public Utility Gas Fund 0520, Department 500, Organization 1940-2430 Object 5487.

Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes an amendment to contract C22747 with Energy Insight, Inc. (EII) to provide additional funding for professional services to increase the capacity of the C&I CIP. The Department is only able to conduct approximately 20 annual C&I CIP assessments at current City staffing levels. This increased funding will allow for approximately 35 additional assessments each year.

EII is a provider of energy management services for a variety of gas utilities and large industrial and commercial organizations. Using this experience EII can help Public Works and Utilities to enhance existing programs and develop new ones to meet the Division of Energy Resources mandate to reduce 1.5% of annual natural gas sales through conservation programs.
