CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to enter into an agreement, substantially in the form attached as Exhibit A, with TKDA for engineering services for the Stewart Creek Bridge and Clyde Connector Trail restoration projects, for an amount not to exceed $62,500 payable as follows:

Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes an agreement with TKDA for engineering services including design, bid preparation and assistance, and construction administration for the Stewart Creek Bridge and Clyde Connector Trail restoration projects for an amount not to exceed $62,500. See map in Exhibit B.
The Stewart Creek Bridge is a connector on the DWP Trail - a seven mile, multi-use, wheelchair accessible trail that will connect the zoo to Becks Road on the former Duluth Winnipeg Pacific railroad bed. The bridge will provide an important connection for the DWP Trail, the Superior Hiking Trail, and the Duluth Traverse.
The City was awarded a $200,000 DNR Regional Trails Grant for the Stewart Creek Bridge. The City will provide an estimated $330,000 match from the half and half allocation for the DWP.
