RESOLUTION RATIFYING THE ACQUISITION BY THE DULUTH TRANSIT AUTHORITY OF CERTAIN PROPERTIES AND DEEMING THE ACQUISITIONS APPROVED.

CITY PROPOSAL:
WHEREAS, pursuant to Laws of Minnesota 1969, Chapter 720, Sec. 5 (c), acquisition by the Duluth transit authority (DTA) of real property by purchase, lease or gift requires the approval by resolution of the Duluth city council; and
WHEREAS, the DTA acquired certain properties which acquisitions were inadvertently not approved by the Duluth city council.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the acquisition of the following real properties located in St. Louis County, Minnesota, by the DTA is hereby ratified and the acquisitions hereby deemed to be approved:

Transit Center East located at 214 West Superior Street acquired pursuant to warranty deed dated November 1, 1985, and filed in the office of the St. Louis county registrar of titles on September 16, 1986, as document no. 480539; and acquired pursuant to trustee's deed dated October 8, 1985, and filed in the office of the St. Louis county recorder on November 22, 1985, as document no. 404326 which property is legally described on attached Exhibit A;

Operations Center located at 2402 West Michigan Street acquired pursuant to warranty deed dated September 18, 1978, and filed in the office of the St. Louis county registrar of titles on October 6, 1978, as document no. 415868 which property is legally described on attached Exhibit B;

Piedmont Turn Around located at the southwest corner of Piedmont Avenue and Haines Road acquired pursuant to warranty deed dated October 28, 1997, and filed in the office of the St. Louis county registrar of titles on November 26, 1997, as document no. 637128 which property is legally described on attached Exhibit C; and

Woodland/Rice Lake Turn Around in the Town of Rice Lake abutting Calvary Road between Chicago Avenue and First Avenue South acquired pursuant to quit claim deed dated May 19, 1985, and filed in the office...
