CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to enter into an agreement, substantially in the form attached as Exhibit A, for professional grant research and writing services for 2017 for an amount not to exceed $50,000, payable from 205-130-1219-5319 (Parks Fund; Community Resources; Parks Operating; Other Professional Services.)
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes a contract with Christine Penney for professional grant research and writing services through December 31, 2017.
Ms. Penney’s services will include research to identify potential sources of, and application preparation and re-writes to solicit and secure grant funds in support of the St. Louis River Corridor projects. A copy of the consultant’s proposal for 2017 is included as an attachment to Exhibit A. Because there are currently eighteen (18) to twenty (20) grants in various stages of the application process from initial research to rewrites and full proposal submission, it is in the City’s best interest to maintain continuity with the current grant services consultant.
