CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to enter into a contract with MP Technologies, LLC, for construction of the following: approximately 3,500 feet of 6” MDPE gas main in 48th Avenue East from Glenwood Street to Superior Street, 3,100 feet of 8” MDPE gas main in Fourth Street from Wallace Avenue to 34th Avenue East, and 2,850 feet of 12” HDPE gas main along London Road from 35th Avenue East to 40th Avenue East in the amount of $956,270.52, payable from Gas Utility Fund 520, Department/Agency 500 (Public Works & Utilities), Division 1905 (Capital Improvements), Object 5533 (Revenue), City Project No. 1532, Requisition No. 17-0266.
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution will authorize the construction of approximately 3,500 feet of 6” MDPE gas main in 48th Avenue East from Glenwood Street to Superior Street, 3,100 feet of 8” MDPE gas main in Fourth Street from Wallace Avenue to 34th Avenue East, and 2,850 feet of 12” MDPE gas main along London Road from 35th Avenue East to 40th Avenue East to MP Technologies, LLC in the amount of $956,270.52, payable out of Gas Utility Fund 520, Department/Agency 500 (Public Works & Utilities), Division 1905 (Capital Improvements), Object 5533 (Revenue), city project no. 1532. MP Technologies was the lowest of three bidders that responded to the request for bids. The engineer’s estimate was $1,019,097.00.
