CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to enter into a three-year non-exclusive use agreement, substantially in the form attached as Exhibit 1, with Arrowhead Fast Pitch League Association for use of the baseball and softball fields at Wade Stadium and Wheeler Athletic Complex for its youth softball program. Payments received under this agreement shall be deposited into the Special League Fund 210, Agency 030, Organization 3190, Revenue Source 4625-04.
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes a three-year agreement with Arrowhead Fast Pitch League Association ("Association") for non-exclusive use of the baseball and softball fields at Wade Stadium and Wheeler Athletic Complex for its youth softball program. The Association provides a fast pitch softball program for youth girls in the local and surrounding communities. The Association has previously used the facilities under a separate agreement that has now expired.
The Association has the ability to use the fields between June 1 and July 31 of each year under the following schedule:
(1) Fields 6 and 7 at Wade Stadium: Monday through Friday with maximum hours of usage per field per day of seven hours; and
(2) Wheeler Fields: Two fields on Wednesdays with maximum hours of usage per field per day of five hours.
Additionally, the agreement allows the Association to host two tournaments per year. To avoid conflict with other user groups, the dates and times for all of the Association's field usage are scheduled through the City's Recreational Specialist.
In 2017, the Association will pay a flat usage fee of five thousand four hundred dollars ($5,400). The usage fee increases three hundred dollars ($300) in each subsequent year througho...
