RESOLUTION AWARDING A CONTRACT TO ULLAND BROTHERS, INC. FOR THE FOURTH STREET OVERLAY PROJECT IN THE AMOUNT OF $579,845.

CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to enter into a contract with Ulland Brothers, Inc. for the Fourth Street Overlay Project in the amount of $579,845, payable out of Permanent Improvement Fund 411, Department/Agency 035 (Capital Projects Accounts), Object 5530 (Improvements Other than Buildings, city project no. 1599, S.A.P. 118-132-010. This project will be reimbursed by Municipal State Aid funds.
FURTHER RESOLVED, that city engineering will continue to identify and pursue bike lane options on the corridor.
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes the award of a contract for the overlay of Fourth Street from Mesaba Avenue to Sixth Avenue East by Ulland Brothers, Inc. in the amount of $579,845. Ulland Brothers was the lowest responsible bidder of the three companies that responded. The engineer’s estimate was $570,000. Payable out of Permanent Improvement Fund 411, Department/Agency 035 (Capital Projects Accounts), Object 5530 (Improvements Other than Buildings, city project no. 1599, S.A.P. 118-132-010, requisition no. 17-0383, and reimbursed by Municipal State Aid funds.
